Bed Bug Heat Treatment
What it is:
A Bed bug heat treatment or rather thermal remediation treatment, is the most effective process for bed bug control and great for heavier bed bug infestations. It is also the preferred method when someone needs bed bugs removed quickly, as it typically only requires one round of a bed bug treatment, instead of several rounds of treatments for bed bugs like all other bed bug treatment types take. Dead Bug Walkin LLC brings in industrial-sized bed bug heaters onto your property and heats your space to a temperature of 140°F or above. Bed bugs can’t survive in any life stage in these temperatures, so the entire bed bug infestation is eliminated.
If you have a more severe case of bed bugs, or you want bed bugs removed immediately, then this is the best treatment option for you. Heat treatments are most effective for areas less than 2,220 sq. ft., including hotel rooms, apartments, condos, small homes and businesses. Although there are ways to treat with heat in large structures by sectioning off areas or using more than one heater in almost every instance. If there’s a way we’ll find it.
-It is a green pest control solution
-Treatment is typically completed in one day

-Eliminates bed bugs in hard to reach areas including under floorboards, inside walls and electrical outlets, mattresses and electronic equipment
-Peace of mind that no items will be left infested after treatment
-Ideal for single family homes, apartment units, hotels, school dormitories and most other spaces
How it works:
Employing a heat treatment program is best for severe infestations, because it kills every bed bug stage all at one time. Heat is best used to control bed bug infestations in less than 15 foot ceilings, (room size will always come into play with heats effectiveness), and is perfect in removing bed bugs in an individual bedroom or suite. Using heat for bed bugs can become very costly if multiple rooms require treatment though, so make sure to talk to your technician about the best fit for your specific circumstances. Some structural limitations exist with heat treatments, for example, a room significantly larger than the average home or a room with multiple large open exits. Most structures can be heat treated but there are structures that can be hard to retain a uniform coverage of constant kill temperatures in. Electric heaters can be run off generators, so there may be height restrictions on the use of a pest control companies heaters. Dead Bug Walkin LLC uses diesel indirect fired heaters and electric heaters. We do not require the use of generators though. If you are situated in a high rise or your building has sprinkler systems, make sure to tell Dead Bug Walkin LLC when you call.
