Bed bugs get each and every piece of their healthful advantages from blood dinners alone. They don't need water or some other food source other than the blood source. Bed bugs favor a blood dinner from people yet will utilize any potential prey accessible to them. It does not need to be a warm blooded creature to be eaten upon by bed bugs however it appears they do lean toward warm blooded creatures such as humans.

They will not discriminate when feeding as long as theres a blood meal and if they get the chance they'll take any open door that introduces itself to them. We like to think that there's no such thing as vampires but that's exactly what ticks, fleas and beds bugs are, vampires! It just so happens that their an insect that's a vampire. It actually might help people to understand them if they've never experienced bed bug problems before. If we changed beds bugs name to vampire beds bugs, people may understand them faster. We can't even begin to count the amount of times that customers had no idea that their bed bug infestation was feeding on their blood every night or so. For some reason there's a portion of the public that believes bed bugs eat your skin cells, particularly your dead skin cells. We have no idea where this incorrect belief stems from. We can unequivocally can say that bed bugs only suck the blood from humans, they do not eat skin cells or anything else. They do not drink water. Just like ticks and fleas, bed bugs get all the ingredients they need including moisture or H2O, from your blood itself. Believe it or not their are a lot of animals and insects that do not drink water and get all their hydration needs from other things besides water. Most of these creatures will get all their hydration from the things they eat or from the air that surrounds them.
